Option to Include Updated Posts in Newsletter
Maarten Van 't Hof
The same request more or less. We send a monthly newsletter based on posts of new activities in our city (see Bergenopzoom.nu) It is not really a newsletter but a list of selected activities you can do or visit in the coming month. Some of the items I want more then one time in this newsletter that is automatically created from the posts. But now a Post is only placed in the newsletter once. I would like to have an option to set so a post is placed more then once. (A post that is no longer active to visit gets the category archive, the posts to place the category newsletter)
I now copy the post to reset the invisible “has been send” flag. What is a work around but intensive.

I also cannot use MailPoet without this feature. If his has been a requirement for more than 3 years I wonder how many customers you're missing out on.

Just coming back to leave another comment. Would love to use MailPoet but can’t without this feature.

I don't use automation so I can't tell you.
However I would be looking at other ways other than date if that's isn't working.
Perhaps adding a tag such as "news item", sorry I can't help any further

If you have a link in a newsletter to a post, it will always link to that post, no matter how many times you update the post.

Craig Brown: from my understanding if I update a previously published post, changing the date to today, it will not publish with today's newsletter. Is that incorrect?

Charlotte Moore: Are you sending out a template that just shows recent posts?
You can add any type of link manually, just add any post you want to your newsletter.
C
Charlotte Moore
Craig Brown: Yes, rss sent several days a week

Charlotte Moore: Well then that's the problem,
to fix that, just add the posts you want manually to the newsletter.

Craig Brown: yes but automation is what I’m looking for. The rss provides it, but the missing piece is a way to tell mailpoet to include ALL the posts that have gone up between a certain date and time, regardless of whether it is a new post or a newly updated older post.

Craig Brown The point is, we let the system create periodically the newsletter based on posts. An editor creates an “what to do” item for our city promotion and at regular times the subscribers of the newsletter get the latest options. So it is an automatic proces. The possibility is the charm of MailPoet, only the problem for us is the one time sed option.
