Design WordPress "System" Mails
John Farrar
Any system emails we want to be able to customize. :)

Thanks everyone for your feedback!
We're currently exploring enabling customization for WooCommerce emails first, and are keeping in mind that many of you would also like to customize WordPress System emails too.
Are you looking to customize specifically just the default WordPress system emails, like "Forgot Password" or "New User", as Philipp originally mentioned, or are there any plugin emails that you send to your users that you'd need to customize?

Tautvidas Please use the standard Wordpress emails. And, if possible, also the emails from WooCommerce Subscriptions (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/). That would be really nice.

Tautvidas Thank you for letting us know about your activities in regard to this request. Why don't you make all Woo emails fully customizable by users? Also, I'd like to mention that it would be great if you finally take into consideration the Translatepress plugin compatibility (I already posted a feature request). Keep us updated! Thanks!
Tautvidas
Maey DODO: thank you! I can confirm that we'll look into simplifying customization for WooCommerce Subscriptions and other WooCommerce extensions as well.
As MailPoet is owned by WooCommerce, you will be able to customize WooCommerce and extension emails directly via WooCommerce.
We are close to releasing modernized WooCommerce email templates (original discussion: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/discussions/52897), and in the next few months will aim to share a bit more about the upcoming email customization improvements.
If you're open to sharing, how would you want to customize WooCommerce Subscriptions emails? What would you like your customers to receive?
Tautvidas
Cedomir Jovanovic: Thank you!
I can confirm that we'll look to make all Woo emails easily customizable, and you'll be able to do that directly through WooCommerce.
Are there any particular customizations you would like to see?
We're still fairly early in the process and don't have more details, but we understand how important translations are, and will look to make improvements compatible with existing translation tools.

Tautvidas For specific wishes, I will first have to discuss this with our customers. For multilingualism, it would be nice if it is/remains compatible with WPML
Cedomir Jovanovic
Tautvidas That's great news, thanks! Do you have any idea how the editor will look like?
Re the customizations - well, I guess it'd be great if you could consider implementing a color palette picker, and dark mode support; typography - font selection, and text styling options; borders - styling or even possibility to switch off borders; real-time preview and email testing, aaand definitely integration with Translatepress and/or other translation plugins, as I already mentioned.
Tautvidas
Cedomir Jovanovic: not yet, but we're currently exploring exactly that!
Preliminarily, we're considering basing editor flows on the Gutenberg visual editing experience, similar to how you currently can publish posts.
I can confirm that we are looking into some features you mentioned, like color pallete pickers, text styling options, email previews.
If you're interested - we're planning to share more about it in the next 1-2 months once we make a bit more progress, likely via the WooCommerce Developer Blog (https://developer.woocommerce.com/) and will post on the initial improvements discussion (https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/discussions/52897).

This sounds like a no-brainer! Why should we need another plugin just for this? Hope this is coming asap. 😳

Would LOVE this, especially with import/export of designs so I could reuse across multiple sites. Cloud sync would be even better.
